Special Things we did on Christmas Eve - Written by Mom

On Christmas Eve, me and my husband were able to go home early from work.

We decided to do something special. So my husband started a fire in the fireplace. The heat warmed everyone, on the outside and inside. We all wanted to stay in front of it forever.

Later we watched a YouTube video on dancing. We all danced for about 40 minutes. Because we wore ourselves out from exercising, everybody had a good night's sleep before Christmas.

My Awesome Book Blog - Written by Anni

Me and my friend Joanna made a book blog that keeps track of the books we've read for our 20 Time project. What is a 20 Time project? Basically it's a project that you spend 20% of your time on, like what they do in Google. Did you know Gmail was also a 20 Time project?

The blog includes:
  • a summary of each book we've read (this can sometimes be super long)
  • a picture of the book
  • our rating for the book out of 5
At the end of our project we will post a line graph of how many books we read in each month. The project is ending sometime in May, although we might continue it even after the project is over.

Enough of this, here's the link!
Tell me what you think!

(P.S. In that blog, I'm known as Alana.)

The Blood of Olympus - Written by Lisa

I just finished reading a awesome book called The Blood of Olympus, by Rick Riordan. My favorite part was when all of a sudden the gods came to help demigods. It was really surprising and the author made it so it seemed much more exciting, and without the gods they couldn't have defeated Gaea's minions. I love how the author describes everything to make the story as action packed and exciting as possible. I hated the ending though. Like always there's a cliffhanger! It didn't have much details about what happened after Leo and Calypso flew off. (The Leo I'm talking about is the Leo in the book, not my brother Leo. :D) Overall it was a very interesting, action packed adventure but, my favorite book in the Heroes of Olympus series is still The House of Hades, which is the 4th book. I liked that one better because there was more action, and it's more funny.
